IDA – Italian Datacenter Association has signed an important Memorandum of Understanding with the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, through the UMASI and CAIE structures, with the aim of strengthening investment attraction in the data center sector.
The agreement represents a significant step toward the creation of a competitive and sustainable ecosystem capable of supporting the country’s digital transformation. The memorandum seeks to foster the development of strategic digital infrastructure, promote Italy as a European hub for data centers, and support innovation, security and the energy transition.
“The Memorandum of Understanding strengthens the dialogue between institutions and operators in a sector that is strategic for the country’s digital transformation. Data centers represent enabling infrastructure for competitiveness and the attraction of qualified investments. Collaboration with the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy will allow us to contribute to the development of an efficient, sustainable infrastructure landscape aligned with national priorities,” said Sherif Rizkalla, President of IDA.
Data centers are a fundamental asset for economic and technological growth. Through this collaboration, IDA reaffirms its commitment to institutional dialogue and to shaping policies that make Italy increasingly attractive to international investors.
