H2Olona Hydrogen Valley

H2Olona Hydrogen Valley

On 9 October, H2Olona Hydrogen Valley will be inaugurated in Cairate (Varese Province), marking an important step forward in the development of Italy’s green hydrogen value chain and serving as a tangible example of industrial and energy regeneration.

Developed on a former industrial site covering nearly 550,000 square metres, H2Olona Hydrogen Valley aims to combine sustainability, innovation and territorial development through the production of green hydrogen powered by renewable energy.

The event will also provide an opportunity to discuss the growth prospects of the hydrogen economy and the role this technology can play in supporting the country’s energy transition. The technical roundtable will feature leading industrial companies interested in the future development phases of the project.

Representing IDA – Italian Datacenter Association will be Alberto Szakváry, member of the Energy Working Group, who will take part in discussions focused on strategic infrastructure and the challenges of the energy transition.

The initiative forms part of a broader effort to develop sustainable and innovative infrastructure, highlighting the value of collaboration between institutions, businesses and associations in driving the energy and digital transformation of local communities.
